SpaceX launched another 60 Starlink satellites into orbit aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station at 11:31 a.m. on 24 October 2020. This mission marked the 100th successful flight of a Falcon 9 rocket since Falcon 1 first flew into orbit in 2008. Falcon 9's first stage previously supported the GPS III SV03 mission and the Starlink 11 mission. Following stage separation, the first stage successfully landed on the Just Read The Instructions droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. The Starlink satellites will eventually form a constellation around the Earth providing global satellite-based internet access. |
