A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched 53 Starlink satellites into orbit on the Starlink 4-22 mission at 10:20 a.m. on 17 July 2022 from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Approximately eight minutes after launch, the Falcon 9's first stage landed on the Just Read The Instructions droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

This was the 13th flight for the Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched Dragon’s first crew demonstration mission, the RADARSAT Constellation Mission, SXM-7, and now 10 Starlink missions.

A heavy rainstorm obscured the launch, which disappeared moments after liftoff into the clouds.
