Separation of the two side booster cores.
The side booster cores performing their entry burns on their way to Landing Zone 1 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
The right hand booster shuts down from the entry burn. The left hand booster shut down seconds later.
To my great disappointment I was not able to follow the boosters all the way to landing due to obstructions in the way but the Jumbotron screen set up in the viewing area showed the successful landing of both boosters.
Launch Complex 39A as seen shortly before sunset. The strongback is still angled at its launch position after separating from the rocket moments before liftoff.
