A wrenching development has occurred sometime in the last five days. The Osprey nest has fallen from the tree. The nest had developed a noticeable sag since the Ospreys abandoned it at the end of the last nesting season. The sagging grew slowly over the past few months till finally the nest must have given way and tumbled out of the tree. See 31 December for a detailed look at what has happened. |
