Observations & Images
15 June 2007
Approximate age of fledglings in days: 79

The little fledgling still spends most of its day near the nest living off the generosity of the male Osprey who continues to bring fish to the nest. The female fledgling and the female Osprey only occasionally visit the area now.
The nest at its new location built by the male from last year's nesting season. The trees around the nest are popular perches for loafing Ospreys. Four were seen today.

THE NEIGHBORS

Two female Pileated Woodpeckers were foraging through the trees around last year's Osprey nest. They stopped over at the cavity where Pileated Woodpeckers nested successfully last year.
